—–INSPIRE ME ——-EMPOWER ME—– ENRICH ME—–
The Theme for this addition is about self belief which is something VERY close to my heart!
In her opening paragraph Jen states “once you believe in your dream, opportunities to get you closer to achieving your dream have a funny way of appearing”
In a nut shell this the LAW OF ATTRACTION!
You have the ability to pivot your life in ANY direction. When you deliberately seek positive aspects of whatever you are giving your attention to, you, in a sense, tune your vibrational tuner to more positive aspects of everything (Esther Hicks)
“My life is as good as I allow it to be……..(Ester Hicks)”
This issue of One Thimble is bursting with AWESOMENESS!
There are so many GREAT ARTICLES that I have read already. I enjoyed reading about the origins of Liberty Arts Fabrics and I am inspired now to add some to my collection. I learnt more about wool and about its high durability. The article about Connor O’Grady was inspiring – he is only 15 and already is designing! Wowsers! I felt motivated by the article to “Spring Clean your Stash” – I really – really – REALLY need to do this!!! I also found the article on selecting knit fabrics very helpful. There is an article about starting your own handmade business and much much more. There is so MUCH information in this edition!!!
There are also GREAT TUTORIALS! There is a super CUTE hair accessory hanger that I will have to make… as well as an interesting tutorial for making your own fabric out of off -cuts and scraps.
Now for the BEST part – THE PATTERNS!!! I am in LOVE with the Azure Party Dress and can see myself sewing that for my daughter in the near future. I wish they had ADULT sizes (Hint Hint Jen Kennedy!!!) There are 10 PDF Patterns in total in this E-zine and it is ONLY $25AUD which is great value.
I was lucky enough to sew up the two gorgeous patterns designed by Molly and Mama…
The Darling Daisy Bag and The Fluttery Kite
Both of these patterns were a fun and easy sew. The patterns pieces were easy to use and the instructions were very easy to follow. I wish I had white felt for the face of the gorgeous flower but my daughter loves it so that is all that matters. Both the kite and bag make a cute, easy and quick gift for those birthday parties that get sprung on you at the last minute.
My daughter chose her fabrics – this is what we came up with….
She was trying to be serious for the photos but most of the photo I took of her looked like this…..
Getting her outside (which was far better light) was near impossible (sigh) so I took an outdoor photo with our desert rose instead.
I highly recommend this magazine it is by far THE BEST SEWING MAGAZINE ON THIS PLANET!!!
So if you haven’t purchased it yet – what are you waiting for??
